I recently spoke at a ladies retreat and the theme was women of war. I spoke about the spiritual war we're in and how to win it.
And as I wrote that lesson I was constantly reminded of a soldier's dedication and relentlessness. And I thought to apply it to my own life as I raise my children, live as an obedient wife and fight the good fight.
And the more I thought about it the more I began to feel that my commitment was not in question but my consistency and determination.
The word relentless is defined as, "Continuing without becoming weaker, less severe, etc... remaining strict or determined."
Galatians 6:9 says, "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."
Sometimes it can seem like small concessions don't mean that much, but small concessions over and over can become complete lapses in areas of our lives.
Which is why I believe we must relent less. We cannot lose heart, grow tired or give up. The stakes are too high and our enemy never does. He truly is relentless in his pursuit of our souls and the souls of our family and friends.
Consistency in any area is tough; maintaining that burning fire in your heart isn't always easy but when it is done the benefits and the results are immeasurable.
Let us all take inventory of every area of our lives to see if we've left any walls unprotected. The enemy will slip in any way he can. Be relentless sisters and relent less.
P.S. Share this with your friends and encourage someone in their walk with our Savior!
